Frank's Story

Sadly, Frank’s mobility has been impacted as of late, meaning he can no longer drive to the places he loves. He helped out at the local theatre and was fond of walking in the Peak District with the dog, Hess, before enjoying a cold pint. Along with his mobility issues, Frank doesn’t like to leave his wife, Jane, alone for too long either.

To help with Frank’s current issues, his daughter got in touch with us after her friend recommended Aspire. Now we visit Frank three times a week and him and Sean, our support worker/in-house thespian, now help out at the theatre together and manage to get out for a walk followed up with a well-earned pint at the end for Frank.

Jane also has her support worker Debbie come at the same time, so she doesn’t have to spend large amounts of time on her own. They enjoy gardening together, and Jane has rediscovered her love for baking, much to the family and neighbour’s delight! They say listening to Bobby Darin helps the cakes – and who are we to disagree?

Looking to the future, Frank and Jane have booked a trip to the theatre once it opens back up and also plan on enjoying tea together as a couple.
